The staff were helpful and did their best, and the breakfast buffet was served in a very nice dining room with a reasonable selection. Still, the place felt deserted and run down, and I wouldn’t return. The advertised pool exists, but it was filthy and only 70 cm deep. Our first two rooms were dirty, shabby, had holes in the walls and smelled of cigarettes. One person in our group said they saw ghosts in a room. After we complained, a manager came down and moved us to a room more like the Booking.com photos, with windows, more light and no smoke smell. But there was only one power socket, so we had to unplug the TV to charge a phone, the water pressure was too weak for a shower, and there were no towels. The website photos and descriptions were misleading. The location is near the port rather than central, with no shops nearby and a road often jammed with port trucks. The hotel is on a corner sharing access with a fuel station.

The room was clean and the service was good. It’s close to Pasar Atom, and the food tasted great, especially the fantastic Nasi Goreng. Thanks, Antariksa Hotel.
