The bed was comfortable, the hot shower worked perfectly, and the staff were kind and polite. The service was really great. I wasn’t keen on the food, especially the Javanese Fried Rice I ordered. It tasted nothing like Javanese Fried Rice to me and was too salty. Even so, I’d recommend the hotel.

I spent seven days here and enjoyed the stay. Oriza hotel feels youthful and cheerful, with bright colors. The staff and service were nice, and my room was clean, tidy and smelled good. There’s a hot water dispenser on every floor, and breakfast was quite good. The white towels did look old, though. I’d recommend it.

Breakfast tasted really good, and the place works well for Muslim guests, with a mukenah and sajadah for prayer. The service was nice and it felt worth the price, though my room had no glass and only one towel. One thing to know: big container trucks pass right in front of the hotel and make it vibrate like an earthquake. If vibrations bother you, I wouldn’t stay here.

I found a few small cockroaches in my room during my one-night stay four days ago. Also, I strongly recommend against checking in during the evening: I was charged 300K IDR, even though the usual price is around 200K IDR. They said the higher price was because I arrived in the evening, a difference of 100K IDR.
