For such a cheap price, the facilities are pretty complete, much like what you’d find in a five-star hotel. There’s a living room in front, though the room itself doesn’t have a telephone. I’d check the bed to make sure it’s clean, but I still recommend it if you want an inexpensive room with plenty of facilities.

The room itself was better than we expected: spacious, fairly clean, and initially seemed good for the price of IDR 150K -/+. But our stay was a mess. We booked a standard double room with an attached bathroom through the Redoorz application and arrived with a friend to find the homestay locked, with nobody around. One employee eventually came out. There was no receptionist, and we were confused when he handed us a paper form to fill in ourselves, like a self check-in that we hadn’t been told about. We were given room 208, but couldn’t find any room with that number. An employee told us it was a VIP number, though I forget the details. After we’d unpacked, showered, and relaxed for about two hours, the receptionist employee said he’d given us the wrong room and told us to move. We had to rush to pack while he kept checking on us to make sure we were quick. It was really annoying. I didn’t like this homestay. The staff seemed unprofessional, and I wasn’t satisfied with the service, even though the room was quite good for the price.

Oranje gasthuis is worth the roughly IDR 100k price if you’re on a low budget and only need somewhere to lie down. Parking is really tight, though, and the place wasn’t very clean.
