OYO 1624 Panjang Jiwo Residence

Watch out for all the extra fees here. This is the first hotel I've stayed at that asked for a 100,000 deposit, what a hassle. If they don't want dirty rooms, they shouldn't run a hotel. They charge penalties for room mess that goes too far, and even recheck the room at checkout. Are they too lazy to wash things so they can be used again? The route to the hotel also winds through the housing complex, and the front is rented out as a business space. It's really ridiculous.

I was confused at first about where the front entrance was, but you have to go in through the security post. Once I figured that out, I felt safe, and the car park was off the road. The hotel is new and clean, the cleanest Oyo I've seen. The room was spacious and bright, not dim. They take cleanliness seriously at checkout too. Someone near me was charged for dirty sheets, maybe they'd been peed on or something. For a budget hotel, that feels like a plus, with cleanliness like a star hotel.

The service was bad, the bathroom shabby, and there was no mirror. The sheets were stained, and there were so many money traps. I'm disappointed. Don't stay here, it'll drain your money.

I paid through Traveloka, then they asked for another 35,000 Rupiah, saying I'd booked a deluxe room. Other guests apparently had the same experience. Yesterday, I ended up throwing money at the guard for nothing. Check the room and see what it's like. The service is terrible, and I hope nobody else gets scammed.
