It's a cheap place to stay near the Taiwan representative office in Surabaya, with basic rooms for a low price. The ground floor has a mini mart selling food and drinks. I found it handy for resting a few hours. One room in the middle of the building has no window, but it's quiet. Rooms facing the street get traffic noise.

The app listed OYO, but what I found was Reddorz, and the booking itself turned into a headache. It showed 72,000, yet reception wanted 150,000 per night. The address was wrong too: I reached a dark, empty shophouse, then had to keep going because the actual place was farther along. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned. The sheets and blankets didn't seem freshly washed. Don't book here, there are plenty of better options.

I had paid in the app, but at arrival they demanded another payment, saying check-in wasn't possible if the booking fee was below 100,000 Rupiah. The bathroom light didn't work, and there were cockroaches everywhere. This felt like a scam and was pathetic.

People are still being asked to pay again when they arrive, even after paying through an app. That's a ridiculous accommodation rule, and I heard many people turn around because of it. I got hit with the same thing. Please don't book here and risk being scammed.
