We stayed in three rooms with all eight of us in the family, and every room was clean, comfortable, and had full AC. It felt homey, so I’d recommend it for a short stay. There were quite a lot of mosquitoes, but we bought an electric Hit repellent and that solved it. Please keep it up!

The price is very affordable, and the homestay is close to a local traditional market, so it’s a reasonable choice for a trip to Surabaya. The two shared restrooms are a downside. One can’t be locked from inside, so you could get trapped, and using them makes enough noise that there isn’t much privacy. There were also holes in the walls. The quality and service are about what you’d expect for the amount paid.
