I only read the reviews after paying. I contacted customer service and waited two hours without a reply. I was in Sidoarjo, traveling from jogya to Sidoarjo, then to Surabaya before heading to Jakarta. I couldn’t cancel my one night at a Sidoarjo hotel just to go to Surabaya without final confirmation from customer service for my last night/day in Sidoarjo/Surabaya.

The East Java Ministry of Religious Affairs Guest House now requires reservations to be made manually, since it no longer works with the OYO app. The rooms have standard facilities and AC, with different numbers of beds depending on the room. It’s suitable for groups.

I traveled all the way here and ended up stranded in Surabaya at night. I’d booked, paid, and received confirmation through Oyo, but when I checked by WhatsApp, they said the rooms were full. They offered no solution and sent me straight to Oyo customer service, with no refund. If you’re going to advertise through the app, keep it updated. When you’re full, put a notice in the app.

Don’t book this Oyo Inn. They don’t work with Oyo anymore. I’d already booked and paid, but when I arrived they asked me for another 245. The room was uncomfortable, with lots of mosquitoes, a leaking toilet, a torn blanket, no towels, and rock-hard pillows. The price is high for what you get. I really wouldn’t recommend it 😭😭😭

The raised sheets can feel itchy if your skin is sensitive, so please replace them with softer ones. Also, make sure the room is cleaned after every guest checks out.
