The room isn't very spacious, but it's cozy and has adjustable lights. There are communal bathrooms on each floor, along with other public areas. A pretty good option if you're after somewhere to stay in central Surakarta.

A pleasant stay for me, with the things I want from most Bobopods: a strategic location, reliable WIFI, satisfying hot water, complete facilities, and good housekeeping. The place was clean and the staff were friendly.

Everything worked as it should, and if there was a problem, customer service was reachable through the app. You use the app for everything, including online check-in and getting a QR code as your digital key, which makes it convenient, though you need your phone whenever you leave the room. Shoes and sandals go in your own assigned locker, which I fully support. The AC was cold and the bed was comfortable. It’s right in the center of town, clean, and comfortable. A single bed was $10 a night, and a double was around $12-15ish. Highly recommended.

The power cuts were a major part of my stay. Electricity went out completely one afternoon, and staff first said it would be back in 15 minutes. Instead, it was off for over four hours, came back for just one hour, then failed again for two more. That meant over six hours of interrupted service, with loud repair work going on during the outage. I was also woken at 5:00 AM on the first morning by another guest’s phone alarm, which kept ringing for a full hour. Staff seemed indifferent when I raised the noise, and an employee left the door between the lobby and pod area open despite the policy that it should stay shut, adding to the noise. These disruptions, along with the lack of response, seriously affected my stay. I can’t recommend this hotel, and would advise considering somewhere else.
