The room was okay and the staff were really helpful. It’s affordable and feels well suited to backpackers. The best part, though, is their cute, chonky orange cat 😍

The location is handy, close to Balekambang and about 10 minutes from Solo Balapan station. I paid around 200 thousand during a long weekend, which felt a little steep for the room, but it was okay. For a solo traveler or couple, it works for a one-night stay. The room is cramped and the bathroom small, so I wouldn't recommend it with children. Cleanliness was okay, but the towels are worn and should be replaced. There was no shampoo or soap.

The house itself is vintage and nice, and it’s easy to get to, near lokananta. Service was adequate, but the room upkeep really lets it down. The bed was dusty, with moldy pillows and dusty, spotted sheets and blankets. I felt itchy and couldn’t rest comfortably. The floor was dusty with dirty edges, there were spider webs on the ceiling, and the toilet wasn’t clean. Even the sink was odd. It feels more like a guesthouse than a hotel.

There’s a fried rice seller right outside, which is handy if you get hungry at night. The room was clean and had a smart TV. The bathroom felt a bit odd, though. The entrance alley is directly opposite Lokananta, so it’s convenient if you want to hang out nearby. A good place to stay.
