Mahalaya The Legacy Solo

The laundry problem was the worst part of my stay. A brand-new shirt that I’d worn only once came back with puncture holes through the collar. It wasn’t a cleaning issue or normal wear. It looked like something had been fastened to the garment with a pin or similar, which suggests staff negligence and a lack of proper training and supervision. The hotel looks beautiful, but the service doesn’t live up to its appearance. I stayed there twice, and both times the Wi-Fi was unreliable or didn’t work. Mobile signal inside is also very poor, so it’s extremely uncomfortable when you can’t work, communicate or relax properly. Restaurant orders were repeatedly mixed up, even after I politely pointed out the mistakes. The hotel promotes packages for breakfast, convenience and comfort, but the actual service is inconsistent. On my last stay I was given dirty towels, and housekeeping knocked at 9:00 a.m. to ask if they could clean my room, an unnecessary interruption. When I raised problems, staff often seemed confused and unsure what to do instead of looking for a solution. I spent over a week discussing the damaged shirt with the hotel and provided photos and explanations. Management refused fair compensation, relying on a laundry policy note instead of addressing what seemed like a clear staff mistake. That felt rigid and short-sighted, rather than professional. It’s unfortunate to see a hotel with such visual potential and obvious investment fall short on consistent service. Staff training and the guest experience need serious attention.

The stay was quite comfortable, and the location isn’t too far from the city center. A few things could be fixed, though. Chairs scraping constantly in the next room and upstairs was annoying, and the toilet jet pump was hard to press. Breakfast options were limited and could use more variety.

Great value, with a lovely scent and atmosphere. The room was great and very spacious, making it a truly original experience. It’s centrally located, so getting to the city’s main attractions is easy.

Everything was spot on, from the service and rooms to the location. It’s right beside pasar legi and just 800 meters from solo balapan. A great choice if you’re planning to walk around the city.
