The rooms are clean and roomy, and the price is good when you book online. The hotel itself feels old and a bit worn. The air conditioning has always worked fine for me, though the hot water is barely warm. There are plenty of good traditional Javanese places to eat nearby.

There are better places around Solo at a similar price. I stayed two nights, and the rooms felt overpriced for their condition. The first room had very noisy air conditioning and facilities that needed attention. After I asked to move, the next room smelled musty whenever I entered. The AC barely cooled, and the showers weren't working properly. A fan would have been more useful.

The bathroom was fairly clean, but I didn't enjoy my stay. The room's AC wasn't cool enough, and the Wi-Fi couldn't reach it. Getting there meant walking along a long, dark corridor that made me uneasy and seemed rarely cleaned. There was also a wedding party during my stay. It was very loud from 2 pm to 6 pm and was still going on then. I can't say how the other rooms are, but mine wasn't good enough.
