Zigna Kampung Batik

Being right across from Kampung Batik Laweyan made getting around easy. I stayed with my family for 5 days and 4 nights, and our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly too. I only wish there had been more variety at breakfast.

The rooms were spotless, the amenities were great, and the staff were generally friendly. The problem was how the express laundry was handled. With the local laundries full, I sent a few items to the hotel and was told they’d be back by 8:00 AM. I called housekeeping maybe 3-4 times because I had a tight schedule, but the clothes still hadn’t arrived after 9:30 AM. I ended up buying clothes outside because my schedule couldn’t wait, and had to reschedule my whole day. For over IDR 1,5 million for two nights, plus the express laundry premium, I expected much better communication. It’s a lovely hotel, but the unreliable timing was a major letdown.

The rooms were comfortable and the food was nice, so I’d recommend this hotel for a stay in Solo. I arrived around midnight earlier this month and was surprised by the loud noise outside. The front desk explained it was just the ronda (night patrol) and would die down soon.

The rooftop gives you a view of Solo from above, and there’s a swimming pool and a play area for children. My room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel has complete facilities and I definitely felt comfortable staying at Zigna. Cu next time 🫰
