Cempaka Belimbing Villas

The food was delicious, and the green views made the place feel really relaxing. I spent four days and three nights here for a function. Every staff member was friendly, and the service went beyond what we expected. My room was tidy and the bed super comfortable. The pool was clear and clean, though very cold. There’s hot water in the bathroom. A good spot to unwind. If you’re after somewhere peaceful, come here. I’ll definitely be back.

Set among rice fields, this is a calm escape with a beautiful pool. The rooms are just right for a quiet night, away from the bustle at other Bali hotels.

The rice fields around this complex of 25 villas are spectacular. I stayed in villa Cendrawasih, which overlooks them. My room was comfortable and clean but dated, although the bathroom felt fairly modern. The location is beautiful, but too isolated for me. You need to arrange transport in advance, as the usual taxi services don’t work in this area. The staff were friendly and helpful, and hospitality is clearly in good hands. The restaurant menu is simple and the food is very good, but they allow smoking in the outdoor dining area. I can see this being a pleasant stay for groups or company, and the location works well for trekking, walking, or cycling. One major issue for me was WiFi: it was unstable and mostly unavailable in my villa. It only worked well near the restaurant and pool, so I couldn’t work in the cloud from my room. A repair didn’t help, and the E-Sim signal here is poor on LTE too. I cut my stay from five nights to two because of this. I don’t know how WiFi is in the other villas, and I hope the staff can find a lasting fix, perhaps by adding routers or boosters. I think they will. Copyright photo's: Patrick Wouters photography

A relaxing place to enjoy nature. I’ve come back many times and always enjoy the atmosphere. The staff are warm and friendly. It isn’t luxury, but the rooms are clean and comfortable, with a real Balinese feel. Thank you Cempaka Belimbing villas.
