Pintu Waluh Homestay

The price made sense for our whole family of eight, and the owner was friendly and ready to help. We had two bedrooms, each with a king bed, plus two bathrooms, one with a water heater. There was also a dispenser, plates, glasses, spoons, a sink, prayer mat, guest chair, and TV. Pintu Waluh Homestay felt like home, and we were happy with our stay. It was clean and well kept. If I come back to Takengon, God willing, I’d stay here again. Highly recommended. I hope Pintu Waluh Homestay keeps doing well, and that Mr. Ahmad stays healthy. I was unsure where to stay in Takengon until I found this homestay on Google. It’s in a residential part of the city rather than by the lake, but food and coffee are not far away, and neither is the lake. From the back door you can see mountains and local gardens.

It’s spacious, clean, and right in the city center, with most tourist spots close by. The management was friendly, and 600,000 Rupiah was enough for a group to stay.

I was lucky to find a really comfortable place for our New Year’s Eve in Takengon. It was clean and had hot water, so I’d recommend it for a family holiday. The only sour note was that after we got home, my sister’s flip-flops had been swapped for an ugly pair by another guest. Ugh.

After spending the day around the lake and visiting Takengon’s attractions in the cold, coming back here to lie down felt like being home. Such a comfortable place, and one of my most enjoyable vacations. Definitely recommend it.
