We loved our stay here. It felt like a peaceful, tucked-away guesthouse, though the internet signal was very weak. The mother and son were incredibly kind, offering coffee, tea, coconut, and fruit. They also made a simple, tasty dinner for 20k, and could drive us to Mount Ijen and back, with the fare something to negotiate.

The owner is very friendly, and the place works well as a budget stopover for people heading to Ijen. It’s less than an hour by car from the accommodation to the Paltuding post. The price is low, and the facilities are in line with what you pay. Bromo visitors often stay here, check out around midnight, and continue straight to the Ijen crater.
