The owners gave us delicious pancakes, and the courtyard was fascinating, full of cages with birds and animals. That huge iguana especially stood out. The homestay is made up of small rooms in the owners' courtyard, and it's a great place for a short overnight stay before climbing Ijen Volcano. The main problem is the lack of hot water. The shower was freezing, so washing was impossible. I recommend the owners save up for a water heater. They seem to live quite well, and one should be affordable for them.

Mrs. Joice and her family are very kind and welcoming, and the food is delicious. The homestay is comfortable and affordable, right by the road and not too far from the ticket counter to Ijen Crater.
