The room costs 200k a night, but I’d avoid booking through Agoda. I couldn’t even get in touch with the owner so he could come over. If online booking apps are such a problem for him, he should remove the business from their listings. This was so frustrating, and I hope I can get my money back. The owner was rude, didn’t speak English, and made no effort to help me get a refund. Avoid this place.

We booked two rooms for August 4 on August 3, and the owner reconfirmed just three hours before we arrived. Then we got there and found the hostel was full. The owner told me Booking hadn’t sent the money and wasn’t responding to him, then ended the discussion. We never got our money back. We asked the hostel staff about a refund, but this was a very bad experience and I can’t recommend the hostel. If you want, there’s a hostel near OYO Life whose owners are very nice.

We booked through Agoda, but when we arrived with a confirmed reservation, they said they don’t accept app bookings and wanted three or four times the amount to book again. Now it’s the second day and Agoda still isn’t responding properly. We’ve wasted a lot of time and have nothing sorted out. This feels like a scam. Don’t book online.

If this is Padang, the app shows the price. Please be honest about it instead of raising it when guests arrive and asking them to cancel through the app. You say you’re Muslim, so why are you being so rude?
