Amaris Hotel Bandara Soekarno Hatta

It's near the airport, and most people seem to stay here between flights, so expectations should match that. It was fine for me, though cleaner sheets or pillows would have been better.

For one night, this was good enough for a budget hotel. It's about 10 minutes from T3 and has a free shuttle. Breakfast before 6 o'clock was only bread. The compact room had the facilities and amenities I needed, but the lighting was a bit dim.

The location is good, but keep in mind that from the terminal 3 international arrival you have to walk over to the terminal 3 domestic arrival for the shuttle. They don't pick you up at the international side, and nobody tells you ahead of time. That was a rough walk after a 12 hours flight, with a cranky toddler, close to midnight. The room was small and smelled like a mix of mould and bleach. The bathmat was dirty, and the towels looked like they hadn't been washed in a decade. You get what you pay for, I guess. I'll update this after breakfast.

The cleanliness was shockingly bad. The white sheets, linens, and pillowcases had turned black. I asked to move rooms, but the others were the same. The staff were apologetic and had no way to fix it. They were just low-level workers, not people who could buy new sheets themselves. This was a management failure, yet the frontline staff were left to apologize to guests.
