J Hotel Bandara Soekarno Hatta

The staff were friendly, and the location near the airport is useful for a layover. But the room was by far the grossest I've stayed in. There were stains all over the sheets, hair across the floor, and mold and mildew in the bathroom. I almost wish I'd slept on the airport floor, which might have been more hygienic. I can't recommend this hotel. Try somewhere else, or just stay at the airport.

Handy for an overnight stop while in transit, with Indo mart and Alfa mart only a few steps away. The staff were friendly, and the scheduled airport shuttle made things easier. But nobody responded to my enquiries, and the toilet and shower unit needs a thorough scrub and deep clean.

The staff at J hotel were helpful and nice, and they upgraded my room to an executive one. It was spacious and clean. The bathroom door was an unusual sliding door with a full-length mirror on it. Amenities were complete and neatly packed, including a hairdryer and sewing kit. The sheets and towels were clean and smelled good. There's a free airport shuttle every hour. I'd happily stay here again when I need to be near the airport or in transit.

The street was flooded, and it took us a long time to find a Grab driver willing to pick us up. We'd booked this hotel after our flight was moved to the following day and needed somewhere to sleep quickly. The offer of a room with 5am early check-in sounded great, but the room was awful: very dirty, badly in need of renovation, and smelled like someone had died there. We eventually got our money refunded. Don't go there. I have no idea how it got 4.2 stars.
