The bed was excellent, and I loved that it was raised to leave room underneath for luggage. We got an executive room for what we paid, refurbished with a Japanese styled bed. My room was at the far end from the lobby, though, so we had to walk through the old wing, which wasn’t appealing. They need to keep renovating to bring in younger customers. The lobby still has a boring, dated feel and needs a lot of work.

The staff were helpful, and the hotel was quiet and clean. Breakfast was good too. It’s close to the city center, and I’d recommend it.

The front liner was really nice. They’re upgrading the rooms and services, and it’s becoming more comfortable than before.

I paid 500 something for room 175 for one night, 23 apr-24apr, during a public holiday. Usually a superior room, the type we chose, costs around 200-300. The location is pretty good, but for that price, the superior room wasn’t worth it. Maybe you’d get a better room on a normal day for the usual price, perhaps a suites/VIP room, though I can’t say whether those would have the same problems. The stylish-looking building was misleading. When we opened the door, the room smelled strongly of dust and damp, and it affected my nose right away. The bathroom floor was dirty, and its exhaust fan didn’t work, making it even more damp. There were visible stains on the bed cover. It was also quite dark, with only two table lamps, one light by the entrance, and one in the bathroom, which felt horrifying. The AC was loud, like an almost broken outdoor unit was inside the room, and I could hear someone snoring in another room and footsteps from above. We complained to reception. They offered another room, but it smelled even worse, so we stayed in room 175 after a long trip. We were lucky to stay only one night and slept with masks on. I gave the service three stars because they did offer another room, but that wasn’t a solution when we were facing the same issue.
