Cheap, but still cozy. Really good value.

The setting is stunning, among rice paddies and a Javanese garden that feels like Eden, with jungle farmed in a community-minded way. I loved being around people who felt close to nature. The hosts, one Australian born and one distinguished Javanese local, make a wonderful team, and having English access to such deep local culture was a rare treat. If ecological kindness and intelligence matter to you, this place is second to none. A joyful stay with a real connection to local culture.

A nice guest house, especially for groups of families. Bring your own toiletries, since they aren't provided. The nearest Alfamart is quite far away.
