The Lumbung Tejakula

The sound of the ocean is lovely as you fall asleep and again when you wake up. It's so peaceful, though I'm used to the chickens and dogs now! The rooms are spacious, with air con and a comfy bed. Mega sets them up with water, tea, coffee, a kettle, umbrellas for rain, and even two yoga mats. It feels like good value. The property is right by the ocean with a private area shared by you and the neighbours next door, though the beach is pebbly. There's a clean shared kitchen with most of the utensils you'd need. I loved seeing how carefully they water and care for the garden, it really shows. Warung Seni and Gaia oasis are close by for food. Mega is a wonderful, warm and kindhearted host. When I had an ear infection, she even went to the local pharmacy for antibiotics. Her hospitality is a big reason I'd stay again. Thanks so much for a wonderful visit, and hopefully see you again when I return to Bali.

Mega made us feel so welcome at LUMBUNG Tejakula. She was kind and really helpful throughout. The place is remote and beautiful, well away from the usual track, and I loved every minute there. Thanks for such a lovely stay, Mega. I’d happily come back. ✨️🙏

The coastside setting was lovely, and we could fall asleep to the surf. The grounds were cozy too, but the stay left us unhappy. The room had two large windows and no curtains, so we would have been up at 6 a.m. unless we sorted it ourselves. When we asked the owner, she apologized but didn’t do anything, so we had to handle it. She suggested breakfast at the cafe next door, but it was closed both in the morning and evening. She did lend us her bike to look for dinner, which we appreciated, but the attitude we encountered made a 4 rating feel too generous. I went back and forth between 3 and 4.

Mega was so friendly and helpful, and the garden is beautiful. Our room was clean, with good air conditioning and a good shower. You can snorkel right off the beach, and breakfast is available next door at Gaia-Oasis for a fair price. There’s another nice warung nearby too. We also recommend the dolphin trip with a local fisherman.
