Hotel Holiday Karimun

We arrived at the breakfast hall at 7:15 am, though breakfast starts at 7, and the kuei kuei tray was already empty. The coffee station was nearly empty too. I had spilled coffee on the floor during breakfast on the morning of 4th Feb 2026, and by 6th Feb 2026 the stains were still there.

The room was simple and quite good, and the staff were helpful. The location is nice too, close enough to walk to the ferry terminal. Overall, a good stay.

The hotel is near Karimun port, with a food court beside it and plenty of parking. I found it comfortable, especially in a room with a sea view. Staff were friendly, and room service can bring food up if you call. Be ready to pay cash for room service, or ask at check-in whether it can be added to your room bill. The hotel also accepts non-cash invoice payments, such as credit or debit cards.

I stayed three nights. For a budget hotel, it's pretty nice: the room was good, the air conditioning worked, and there was a shower and bathtub, TV, and wifi. The neighborhood was quiet and good for resting, and the harbour and night market are close by. I did spot a few small roaches running around the bathroom, which I think were sea roaches. Given the hotel is near the ocean, I wasn't too bothered, and they didn't come near me. There were two power outages during my stay, but the backup generator worked fine.
