Green Haven Homestay

The family made sure we had a great stay, and the local dinner with them was delicious and a lovely way to learn about Indonesia. The beds were comfortable and the garden lush and green. We also took the day walking tour from the Homestay, through beautiful rice fields, where we learned about them, then cooled off at a waterfall before having a great lunch and coffee. Later we saw about ten black monkeys in their natural space, then joined a coconut workshop where we watched and helped make local coconut crumble and oil. Really great accommodation and family, highly recommend!

They helped us get a scooter, shared great local tips, and arranged a traditional Lombok dinner we'll remember. We loved the homemade banana flower curry, tempeh, chicken in sauce, and other tasty vegetarian and local dishes. The team treated us with real kindness and respect from the moment we arrived, giving us room to relax while staying ready to help. Green Haven Homestay in Lombok was a peaceful, comfortable way to experience local life. We're glad to support this lovely family-run place, and hope more people get to enjoy it. Highly recommended!

Jay took us on a relaxed walk through the rice fields and waterfalls, and was so kind and knowledgeable about the plants and crops. I learned loads, and we had plenty of time for questions and photos. Helping prepare dinner with the family was another highlight, the meal was incredible. Thank you all for making our stay so memorable. We felt so welcome.

The family who run this place made our stay, especially with our one-year-old. They went out of their way to keep him happy, watched him while we ate and even tried to teach him to walk. They also gave us helpful ideas for things to do and other assistance. It was our toddler's favorite stop! The room was clean and nice, with a modern bathroom. There were a few little critters, which you'd expect in a place like this.
