The cleaning lady was kind and helpful, but the owner seemed to grow tired of our complaints and changed how she spoke to us. We work online, and after this stay I wouldn’t suggest it for anyone who needs privacy and uninterrupted sleep. There are other guest houses where you can get that as a guest. Our first two weeks were incredibly frustrating. Some Asian guests, a group of friends who said they’d lived there for three years, acted as if the place belonged to them. They kept the kitchen crowded and messy all day, then cleaned it at 11pm, and would hang out there at 2am laughing and making noise all over the property. The owner did nothing. It felt rude to be loud in shared areas in the middle of the night. I had to buy a sleep mask, which didn’t do much about the noise. Russian guests were also very loud one night and jumped into the pool at 3am. Avoid the room by the pool. It faces both the swimming pool and the noisy kitchen, so there’s no darkness or peace in the room. The curtains are very thin, even at night. We were moved to another room midway through the stay, which was better, but it had no hot water for the first two days and the walls were moldy, even though they’d just been repaired. The facilities and staff were fair, about what you’d expect for the price.

It felt like being welcomed into a family. The owner and her family were so kind and friendly, and made us feel at home. The place is cozy and has a pool, and the price is great for this touristy area. It’s close to some nice cafes and restaurants, and the beach isn’t far either. I had a fantastic time staying here this week and loved it.

The rooms are nice, and the owner and management have been helpful and kind. It’s a lovely area for a guesthouse. The parking is limited and outside, though, and some renters or tourists, including digital nomads, can get really noisy.

I really hated staying there. The place was awful, especially because of the manager, Kadek. I feel like she’s always trying to scam you. She may tell you to leave at any moment, and seems interested only in the money. Be careful around her.
