DADEKA Canggu

When I arrived, the property looked neglected, smelled unpleasant, and didn't seem clean. I chose not to stay and left. I don't know how it got these five-star reviews, but they look suspicious.

The room view was stunning, and the service was impeccable. My husband and I had a fantastic romantic getaway in Bali while staying at Dadeka Canggu.

I came hoping to work somewhere quiet for a month, but from the first day I was already thinking about leaving. People partied with loud music, speakers and a DJ setup right outside my room until 3 a.m. Then at 5 a.m. guests revved their sport bikes as if they were competing. Nobody from staff ever seemed to be around to set limits. It felt more like a frat house than a guesthouse, with no rules at all. Basic requests went nowhere, too. I asked for toilet paper for two days and never got any. Staff mostly sat in the lobby drinking alcohol and scrolling on their phones with friends. The lobby, which is the central area surrounded by the rooms, smelled of cigarettes and booze all the time. The kitchen was constantly messy, with dirty dishes piled up and nobody cleaning. Room and kitchen trash sat in a bag on the floor by the fridge, and cats tore it open and dragged food scraps around. It's a shame because proper management could make the place decent. As it is, it feels neglected and chaotic, and doesn't work for anyone who needs rest, cleanliness or basic comfort.

I planned to stay for a month, but left on the second day. I needed somewhere peaceful to live and work, and this guesthouse was a disaster. It felt like a playground for clueless kids with no respect for others, not a place to live. Every night came with loud music, parties and shouting, like being at a club. People drank, blasted speakers and acted as if they owned the place. There were no boundaries, no rules and no staff around to keep things under control. I couldn't get proper rest. If you want peace, respect or even a little order, this isn't the place. Definitely not worth it.
