Guest House Home 46 Bali

Loved the pool and terrace, and the gym is great too. The facilities are unreal, and the owner and guys working here are fantastic. This is easily my favourite place I’ve stayed. 100000/10, I’ll be back every time. I’ll miss Figgu dearly!

The staff were a real highlight, and the host was friendly and quick to respond. My room was average, and the bathroom hygiene could have been better. There was construction next door while I was staying there, so I messaged the host to suggest mentioning it in the listing for future guests. Unfortunately, he didn’t seem to understand my concern.

It’s a small, relaxed hotel that doesn’t feel crowded, and the coffee menu is limited but the drinks are delicious and cheap. The staff are very friendly and make an effort to keep the rooms and hotel clean. My room didn’t have shampoo or body gel, though that’s a personal preference. It’s a good deal for the price. The location isn’t very central, and a Grab ride takes around 10-15 minutes.

Home 46 has a lovely outdoor area and a nice pool, but after two months there I can’t recommend it for a long stay. Hygiene was a serious problem. Room 9 had a bad smell that never went away, rooms 1 and 2 had moths, and the bathrooms were always dirty, with stains in the sink, shower, and toilet. There were also worms, apparently because of the high humidity, and mold marks on the room walls. The rooms had no windows and felt very dark and oppressive. Chickens made noise day and night, which kept disturbing my rest. I had to move rooms several times because of the moths and a booking mistake by the manager. He hadn’t recorded my two-month reservation, so I had to pack everything and leave for one night. The moth problem was so bad I had to throw away a lot of my belongings. When I asked for compensation, the manager was dismissive and unhelpful. The staff were friendly, but housekeeping was poor: towels and bed linen were rarely changed, and there was dust all the time. Poor cleanliness, mold, noise, and management problems made Home 46 unsuitable for an extended stay.
