My experience with the Mandala Group was horrendous. Their service was terrible, and I felt trapped by their policies. When a change benefited them, they made it without giving notice. I booked at the end of 2019 for a March 2020 stay, but couldn’t travel to Bali because of Covid. They refused my refund and said they’d hold the stay for whenever I could make it to Bali. They kept my 50% deposit for nearly two years. When the borders reopened, I planned to visit in June 2023 and paid the remaining 50%. The staff assured me the booking was confirmed, so I had paid in full. Then in March 2023, I wrote to arrange transport for the stay. That’s when they told me they had a long-term tenant and would cancel my booking, or offer alternatives that didn’t suit me. After holding my money for close to three years, they cancelled only when I contacted them, and offered no compensation at all. Deal with this business carefully and at your own risk.
