Matra Bali Guest House

This place felt like home to us. It was affordable and so comfortable, especially the bed, which felt like heaven whenever we got back. The people who live and work here were lovely, and the place had all the amenities. There’s a kitchen, free cold filtered water, cute animals wandering around, motorbike hire, and on-site yoga at a very affordable price with a great instructor. There’s also free access to a small gym at the other location, but you can still get a workout in. Several nice restaurants are right outside the door.

Matra Guesthouse has a peaceful atmosphere, and the staff will help arrange things to fit your needs. They’re some of the friendliest people working there. The rooms are clean and spacious for a good price, and professional yoga sessions look out over the rice paddies. Great location too, with everything you need nearby.

In a quiet area among local Balinese residents, this was a clean, cozy and comfortable place to stay, with AC. Bikes and motorcycles are available to rent on site at a handy, fair price. You can also book surf lessons and yoga classes. It was a great way to meet and spend time with all kinds of travelers, from backpackers to people staying longer. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely come back!

Amazing value for money. The family running the guesthouse were really nice and helpful, and my room was clean with good furniture. Breakfast was yummy, with big portions. I also took yoga classes at the studio behind the guesthouse, where the staff were professional and spoke good English. The beach was close by on a motorbike, and there were nice restaurants around. Great accommodation in the Canggu area!
