Tanjung Plaza Hotel

It was nice to return after five years. The room and service are still much the same, and things remain clean and neat. The room and bathroom were fairly clean, the TV had good channels, and the hotel service was good. There weren’t many guests during our family holiday, so it was peaceful, and the pool was clean too. Breakfast was the letdown: there were only two choices, fried rice or bread, with tea or coffee.

The security staff and other employees were friendly enough, and the hotel itself is quite large. From a Muslim guest’s perspective, though, the Mushola is very small for a hotel of this size. There were only a few mukenah, and they weren’t clean enough. I hope the hotel improves the service for all its guests.

There’s plenty of parking, and nearby warungs are within walking distance. The hotel is old but kept up well. Hot water from the central heating takes a long time to come through.

The room cleanliness was the main problem for me. There was dust under the bed along with unidentified hair and a candy wrapper, and the area behind the door was dusty and dirty too. The spare blanket in the wardrobe smelled musty. There were ants in the bathroom, which disgusted my kid so much they wouldn’t go near it. I could overlook the facilities, but they should at least keep the room clean.
