The staff went well beyond what I expected to help me with some pretty challenging requests, and I'm very grateful. The room was okay, though the bathroom was a little dirty. The hotel was good value, and I got good performance out of the WiFi. You can swim in the lake as well as the pool. It's in a great location, with plenty to do and lots of amazing places to eat nearby. The restaurant wasn't worth visiting, and the coffee wasn't very good, though I was there in the off season.

We won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially for families with kids. The hotel is next to Samosir Cottage, but it needs a lot of improvement to compete, particularly with breakfast and service. A big hotel is no use if the service is bad. We paid a lot for the family room, then had to pay extra for the kids' breakfast, so it wasn't worth it. Breakfast was the worst, just lontong and fried rice, with no eggs, bread, fruit or milk, and the food didn't taste good. The room had no AC despite sleeping four adults, and they provided only three bottles of mineral water, two small packets of coffee and sugar, and two tea sachets. There was no shampoo in the bathroom. The TV was broken and had only one channel.

We spent three days and two nights here and made wonderful memories with my family. There was a water heater in the room, but unfortunately no fan. You can ask for one if they have it available. It was a great experience, and we'll definitely come back.

The breakfast was average but filling, and there was a little karaoke noise at night. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with hot water. You can use the swimming pool or just jump into Toba right beside the hotel. A lovely stay that I hope to repeat.

We picked this place at random because of the price. Since it was off-season, there was plenty of room, and they even offered us a discount, so we ended up paying the Agoda/Traveloka online rate. Everything worked. It was okay for now.
