We’re an Australian family traveling with two kids, and this will be our fourth visit over 12 years. It feels like our home away from home. The view of Lake Toba is beautiful, the facilities are clean and well maintained, and the staff are fabulous, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We absolutely love staying here. The photos can speak for themselves. It’s lovely and I’d highly recommend it. Breakfast was great too, with a good range of mee, bubur, and sambal bilis. The Medan lontong was especially good! ❤️👍

The view is beautiful, and it actually made me appreciate nature more. But the hygiene needs fixing. The heater jug was dirty, the floor was dusty, and the toilet smelled like someone had used it and left it. Very, very unhygienic.

It’s one of the older hotels and among the pioneers here, with a great view. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special.

Opening the door to the lake view was superb, and the room was quite spacious. I stayed with two friends, and we each got a towel and toiletries, though mine smelled unpleasant, so I used the towel I’d brought from home. The toilet door also wouldn’t close properly, which was inconvenient. Staff were very friendly and helped with our luggage because the route to our room had stairs. If you have mobility issues, including elderly guests or people with disabilities, there are rooms near reception that don’t require stairs. Breakfast was standard but enjoyable. If you’re after a short stay with an incredible view and can live with a few small issues, this is a solid choice.
