Zoe's Paradise Waterfront Hotel

The staff were friendly, and the front desk was very helpful. We had a nice view of the lake from both our balcony and the restaurant, and breakfast was nice. They serve a buffet only when at least 9 rooms are occupied. We booked a Superior Room Type and stayed 4 days. There was no AC, just a fan, which we hadn't known about, and the room became pretty uncomfortable after 9am. The aluminium sheet on the bathroom door was coming loose with sharp edges, and it accidentally cut my husband's finger. There was no power point by the kettle, so we boiled water by the bedside. Only one side of the bed had a bedside drawer and reading light.

The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful, and the egg chef deserves a thumbs up. The room really needs air conditioning. Without a shower screen, the toilet seat gets wet, and you can hear the water pump. The metal peeling off the door could easily cut clothes or skin, so it needs immediate attention.

There’s a nice pool and access to the lake for fishing or canoeing. The location is good, close to 2 shops serving western and local food. Rooms are simple but comfortable, although the walls can be a little thin. No complaints about the service or amenities. There’s a hot water dispenser and tea and coffee on every floor, and the shower water gets adequately hot. The wc also has a bidet.

We were there for 5 nights for my trail running race in October. The staff handled our small requests during the stay, and we were truly grateful for their service and hospitality. They were warm and welcoming, always smiling and saying hello to our little daughter. We enjoyed the nice breakfast and went kayaking for free early in the morning, with beautiful scenery around us.
