The Hill View Lombok

The room has a little terrace with two chairs, a small table, and a bamboo rack for drying clothes or towels. There’s also water available for refilling bottles, and they can arrange airport or pier transfers and rent scooters on site. Breakfast runs from 7:30 to 10, and the banana pancakes were really good. Coffee is available on request. It’s a lovely little room with its own bathroom, and the place seems quite new. The owner is still improving it, and there are now a few decorations that make it feel cozier. Hot water is available, though it doesn’t last long. The bathroom has ventilation and a door, so the smell didn’t get into the bedroom. The view includes part of the sea, though the construction on the mountain is very noticeable. One thing I’d suggest is having the pillows dry-cleaned. With the humidity, one seemed to have gone moldy. I couldn’t sleep with it because I can’t stand the smell of something that hasn’t dried properly.

The view was breathtaking, and breakfast was delicious. Our room was spotless, and the host made us feel welcome right away. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

The staff were consistently friendly and ready to help, and the town center is only about a five-minute drive away. Our room was clean and roomy, but the toilet wouldn’t refill properly and kept flushing. Some nights there was no water, or the pressure was very weak. We also found a frog in the shower, a large cockroach, and a few smaller ones in the room. The door didn’t shut properly, so mosquitoes and other insects got inside. There was no hot water either, but we managed. A few things need attention, though the staff were always happy to help with whatever we needed.

Adhi was a wonderful host, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and good value, with a lovely garden and view. It’s peaceful there, and a scooter makes it easy to reach Kuta and beaches to the east or west. At dusk, you can watch bats pour out of the nearby bat cave.
