Deta Junjungan Rice Field Villa

The place is clean and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is very basic, though there's a restaurant on site with great food.

Lovely place with a jungle view, about 15 minutes from downtown.

I spent three days here and could easily have stayed another week. The villa I saw had two roomy bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a living room, refrigerator, and a simple kitchen that could have been a little tidier. There was also a large balcony or terrace with a beautiful view, all in Balinese style. The pool, about 3 by 4 to 5 meters, had sun loungers. Breakfast came to our own terrace or balcony and was delicious, with several dishes and drinks to choose from. The staff were very friendly, and the villas were beautiful with private pools. You're far enough from the crowds to get some peace, but still reasonably close to Ubud and other places. The area is lovely for walks or scooter rides through the forest and rice fields, and scooters are available to rent here at a low price.
