Emana Akatara

We stayed two nights in a deluxe room and one night in the Emana Pool Villa. The rooms were spacious, and we loved the peace and quiet. My husband arranged a floating breakfast and a Valentine’s romantic dinner, and both were unforgettable. We really enjoyed the food, decorations, and service. Special thanks to Lena, who decorated the dinner and served us that night. The location is quite remote. Driving there at night was challenging because of the location and the road, which isn’t concrete near the property, though we felt safe staying there. It’s around 30-40 minutes to Ubod Centre with traffic. Bayu picked us up at the airport and got us to the hotel safely, even with the weather and location. He’s a very experienced night driver. Yoga, if I’ve got his name right, took us to the airport through heavy traffic and kept us entertained with stories about Balinese culture and other things. Thanks also to the two night-shift staff, one man and one woman, whose names I didn’t get, who helped with our faulty kettle on Feb 13, 2026. This place suits couples and families looking to relax and spend time together. Thanks again for an unforgettable stay! ❤️

The rooms felt almost new and were spotless, and Emana Akatara looked even better in person than it does in the photos. We loved every meal at citrus restaurant, too. The staff really made the stay. They were kind, flexible, and always checking that we were comfortable and enjoying both the food and our time there. There were also little events like afternoon tea and coffee and a BBQ night. I’d happily recommend it for an easy, comfortable stay.

Citrus Restaurant had a relaxed, cozy feel, and the service was quick. I ordered the mexican pork ribs, which looked great and tasted just as good as I’d hoped. Even before that, the emana akatara hotel made a lovely first impression. The lobby was tidy, clean, and smelled nice, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. It was a very satisfying first visit, and I’d like to come back. Thanks, emana 🥰

The pool was lovely and relaxing, and our Premier Room was much more spacious than the other rooms we’d stayed in. Housekeeping came once a day. We also appreciated the free shuttle into ubud several times a day, and had no trouble getting Grab or Gojek drivers to enter the hotel grounds. The staff were warm, remembered guests personally, and replied to WhatsApp quickly. The included 30-minute massage was really nice, and they were accommodating throughout. We joined the morning walk for some exercise, especially since there’s no gym. We did miss the complimentary afternoon tea because we were out when it was offered, so getting back by 4:30 would help if you want to catch it. We chose half board, but the same three-course dinner menu was offered each night, and we had to ask for alternatives. On our last evening the manager let us choose from the menu, which was lovely. Breakfast was à la carte with about 15 included options, and we preferred it to a buffet. Still, having to pay extra for vanilla or caramel syrup in coffee was a little disappointing. The minibar had three complimentary local non-alcoholic drinks, but we didn’t care for them and wished there’d been more variety. After thinking it over for a while, we chose Emana for three nights and had a great stay. The service was the best we experienced in Bali, and we’ll recommend the place to friends and family.
