Kamayu Ubud by Puri Signatures

I was there on November, and it was such a calm, cool place to stay. It’s really close to Ubud Central Market, so getting around on foot is easy. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re traveling solo and looking for somewhere affordable 🤍💕

The staff were really friendly, and the rooms, atmosphere, and service all felt good for the price. I had a pleasant stay.

The grounds are lovely, with lots of flowers, a nice pool, and a pleasant overall feel. The hotel itself is good and clean. The balcony rooms are smaller than the ones on the 1st floor, but they cost less. There’s room to cook in the shared kitchen, but not really anywhere to sit and eat. A table and chairs or a corner sofa by the sofa area would help make it a dining space. The kitchen could use cutlery, plates, cups, glasses, one or two new frying pans, and a few cutting boards. The kettle is extremely small for the number of guests and should be bigger. After we asked, staff provided a large water bottle with an electric pump, which saved us from going up and down to get water in the next room. A few things in the rooms would make them more comfortable too: wall hooks or hangers for towels and clothes, since there are none, and a less tiny sink in the smaller rooms, which is very awkward to use.

The location is ideal, right in the middle of Ubud but not too busy, and the host was friendly. We stayed in two different rooms, both clean and decent. The bathroom was a bit dirty because the shower water wouldn’t drain. We skipped the pool because it looked really dirty. Even with those issues, the stay was nice.
