The monkeys kept us entertained, and the views were gorgeous. We had a blast at Monkey Forest Bungalow: the staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the location was just right for a bit of monkey business. And yes, those smelly monkeys deserve a mention! Such a fun, easygoing place.

We’d booked three nights and left after just two hours. There was nobody else there, and the room felt old and dirty. The damp, musty smell was strongest in the bathroom, where it was hard to stay for long. The little bar fridge door was covered in mold, and there was a bowl of damp coffee grounds on top. We walked around and saw some rooms that looked newer and renovated, but even near their doors we could smell that same overpowering damp and mold. It was an unpleasant place to be, so we packed up and went. The hotel used to be called Fibra Inn, so check those photos and reviews before deciding whether to book.
