BEWARE OF MOLD IN BREAKFAST The room itself was nice, and the pool was a good size for two people. We also had a cabana, which was handy for eating breakfast, though we didn’t use it for anything else because it was a little hot in there. The bathroom was pretty dirty, with mildew in the shower and on the floors, and stains around the room. I also saw red stains on the wall by the sink that hadn’t been cleaned. The staff were super friendly and helpful at check-in. They carried our bags to the room and explained everything, and they were attentive on WhatsApp when we had questions. But on our first night, my husband and I wanted to stay in and order room service. When we messaged, we were told they weren’t offering it on the days we were there. I feel that should have been mentioned beforehand, since we might not have chosen this villa otherwise. Breakfast was bad. My pancakes were uncooked, and we ate some of a side sandwich before noticing mold on it. My husband threw up shortly afterward. We told the staff, and they just said, “I’m sorry about that,” without seeming to care. Getting sick because of their food and having them do nothing is unacceptable. I wish we’d picked a different villa. I would NOT recommend it.

The peaceful setting was my favorite part. Origin Ubud is close enough to walk into central Ubud, but the greenery around it makes it feel far removed from the crowds. The rooms are lovely, and everything has a calm, relaxing feel. The staff welcomed us with a smile and were kind throughout. A little paradise, and I’d happily recommend it.

It’s quiet here, with beautiful nature around the property, and the center of town and some temples are nearby. We really liked the place. The staff were so kind, and breakfast was brought to our room; you can choose to have it floating in your pool too. Thank you 🙏

Breakfast was really tasty, and the room had plenty of space, including a large bed. We enjoyed our stay at Origin ubud. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the center, which made it feel peaceful.

I spent four nights here on my own, visiting from Australia, and had a fantastic time. The forest view from the warm pool was lovely, and my modern room had Netflix and steady wifi. Breakfast in the villa and afternoon tea were great. I also had an in-room massage each day for three days, 60 minutes each, for 1.05 million IDR. It’s about a 20-minute walk into town, with some great coffee shops along the way. Highly recommend!
