We came for a chance to slow down, and the river setting made that easy. You can hear the water moving, with greenery all around, and the outdoor space was lovely for coffee in the morning with a soft breeze. The villa was clean, roomy, and carefully put together. The staff were kind and helpful, too, so everything felt easy. A wonderful place to rest and take in Bali's natural calm.

That infinity pool was a real wow, and the river sound during our massage made it especially restful. Our room was lovely, spacious, and prepared with real care. We also enjoyed the restaurant food, afternoon tea, and the tasty complimentary snacks left in the room. The whole team made us feel welcome from the start and did their best to meet our requests. We left feeling this was a perfect place to relax in Ubud.

Art catches your eye all through the rooms, and the view is stunning too. A lovely escape from the rush of city life if you want to enjoy both nature and art. Definitely recommend booking a room!

We had the ground floor of the Kudus Suite, and it felt magical, especially the terrace over the rolling rice fields and the hand-carved stone tub standing on its own. The guest rooms each have thoughtful architectural details, and none of them look alike. Mr De Vries has created an unusually peaceful and private place. From our arrival, the staff treated us like family and made us feel special. Permata Ayung is one of the most beautiful places my husband and I have experienced. Thanks for sharing it with us. We'll remember it for years and would love to come back.
