Pratiwi Ubud Villa

Breakfast was cooked fresh in our villa kitchen every morning, and the staff were incredibly kind. Our host went out of their way to arrange tours and transport for us. We had a wonderful eight-night stay at Pratiwi Ubud Villa, a great-value choice for couples. The private villa and pool felt like a dream. It was quiet, a good base for exploring by scooter, and everything was spotless. The bed was comfortable, and both the AC and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. A real ten out of ten, we highly recommend it.

There’s a lot to like about the villa: it’s spacious and in good condition, with a nice cool AC, mosquito net, pleasant garden, and a generously sized pool. Staff were friendly and accommodating. It was peaceful most of the time, though village dogs barked now and then and traffic started early. One thing to know is the toilet and shower are outdoors, without enclosed walls. The area is good for exploring local villages and temples, but you’ll need a motorbike or car to get groceries or food.

The staff were the standout for us. They were so kind and accommodating, and even offered us the chance to stay in the beautiful wooden Joglo villa as well as the concrete villa we’d booked. That made us feel especially welcome. Both places had their own character, with traditional architecture, open-air design, and a natural feel that made it easy to slow down and enjoy the quieter side of Bali. The pool was a surprise, large for a private one-room villa, about 13 by 21 feet. There’s a kitchen in each villa with a fridge and stove burner, and breakfast can be ordered through reception. The villas are simple rather than modern and luxurious, but thoughtfully equipped, including air conditioning. Pratiwi Villas Ubud was a memorable part of our Bali trip. It’s a good fit for travelers who value local character and a traditional atmosphere. The calm, grounded surroundings capture the feel of Ubud.

We only stayed three nights and didn’t want to leave. After more than 30 days of travelling, this was one of our best stays in Indonesia. Just outside the busy, chaotic city center, the villa was clean, quiet, homely, and private. The pool and bathroom were stunning, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious, cooked fresh in the morning. There was also a fully equipped kitchen. A ten out of ten for us.
