Santosha Villas & Spa

We stayed for five nights and loved the peaceful, beautiful surroundings. Our large room opened onto rice fields, with birds singing in the morning and frogs at night. The staff were attentive and helpful. It's about 4 km from busy Ubud. During the day, we walked along the rice fields into town, and the walk itself was lovely. We took a GrabBike back, which cost around 15-22k depending on the time. North of the guesthouse, there are local villages to visit, plus both touristy and local restaurants within walking distance.

Surrounded by rice fields, the villa felt like a peaceful retreat. Waking up to all that greenery and watching the sunset from the villa were unforgettable. The warm hospitality made the stay feel magical. Highly recommend it if you're after a quiet getaway.🥰💗

The one thing that needs attention is the drainage in one of the washrooms, which wasn't working properly. Apart from that, I really recommend this place and would definitely come back. It's set close to nature, far enough from traffic noise but still within reach of most Ubud activities. Breakfast was delicious and served with care, and the staff were warm and friendly. Laundry was super clean and done quickly as requested.

The villa was peaceful, and I loved the green paddy field view from the room. A few small flies showed up in the room and bathroom, probably because the place is surrounded by nature. I didn't really mind, and the curtains around the bed helped when I closed them at night. The western breakfast was pretty tiny, though. Without the fruit I'd still have been hungry, and it took an hour to arrive. It might work better to order from the room and ask them to text when it's ready. Still, it's a nice villa and I'd stay again :)
