Sayan Ridge Villa

There was lots of space, plenty of good dishes, bright rooms and a beautiful view. But after seven months in Bali, this was the first stay we'd call a nightmare, even though we're not picky. Our May 2023 price was 9,500 million rupiah, and electricity, at 600,000 rupiah, gas, and the changing and washing of bed linen and towels were extra and paid by us. We'd made it clear during our inspection that quiet was our main priority. We were assured it was very quiet, but construction was already going on next door before we moved in. The banging and sawing started early and went on loudly all day. We were told it would only last a day and was ending, but we heard it for a month. Right outside the bedroom window, behind the curtains, dishes clattered and noise started at 7 a.m., and the room smelled strongly of food. The building next door was the hotel staff office, noisy from morning until night. There was also work at the neighboring hotel, with trucks unloading rocks in the parking lot. The apartment was in disrepair. We were told the stair railing, which was practically crumbling, would be repaired, but it collapsed one day and was still lying on the ground a month later. That's extremely unsafe. The electrical system was faulty: outlets sparked, the circuit breakers tripped several times and the power went out. We tried fixing it ourselves, but the problem continued. Water often stopped completely, and we got no response. They might simply not believe you and say it never happened. When it rained, the floor swelled. The pool wasn't private or shared just between two apartments, local residents came to swim. I won't attach photos for ethical reasons. The sofa beside it was completely covered in mold. There were loads of ants, old towels with dirty stains that they promised to replace but didn't, old bed linen, and a strong sewer smell in the bathroom. I can only share my own experience, and you can draw your own conclusions from the photos and videos I attached.
