The real highlight for us was Bagus and Sandy. They welcomed us so warmly, and as a nomad I rarely meet such beautiful souls. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. I’ll carry this place in my heart, and I hope we meet again! 🙏 The villa feels like a peaceful little hideaway from busy Ubud, full of orchids and indoor plants. The place made me feel poetic 😊. I especially loved having Kiwi and Betty come visit our villa. Those playful pups love belly rubs and always lift your spirits. There’s free access to a mini gym, drinking water, cleaning every two weeks, and complimentary homemade cake. Sound healing sessions come with a 10% discount. They also offer workshops and motorbike rental, and there’s a chance to give back through their partner charity group. If you’re after a peaceful escape, this place is a true gem. I highly recommend staying here 💯

My comments are about just one unit among several villas on the property, the villa Agy by Villa Labak. It was advertised as a newly remodeled “villa,” but after seeing the room, I had to leave right away. The pictures speak for themselves. I opened a dispute with the host to try to get my money back. Update: booking.com and I got in touch several times, but the host never replied to our requests. The case is still unresolved, and I lost $840.

The sound of birds woke me each morning, with beautiful flowers and orchids all around. It’s quiet and comfortable, and it really feels like home. Bagusti is an amazing host who quickly sorts out any problems. The Cafe The Hiddenspace is a good place to grab a coffee. 😊
