Komaneka at Rasa Sayang

A green, peaceful oasis in central Ubud. Komaneka’s yoga instruction is professional and well guided, and works for beginners as well as people returning to practice. The new open-air-style studio is calm, beautifully designed, and a lovely place to practise. The restaurant has a nice view over the pool and greenery, a good menu, and a relaxed feel. Staff are consistently attentive and courteous.

The rainforest-style decor is beautiful, and the room is spacious and comfortable, with an especially large bathroom. Breakfast is delicious, and getting around is convenient. If I return to Ubud, I’ll definitely stay here again.

The location, spacious room, and helpful, welcoming staff made for a great stay. The breakfast variety could be better. It was mostly sweets and baked desserts, and I’d have liked cheese, vegetables, or other savory choices. Most of the food was local, which won’t suit every international guest, so some options for everyone would be good. Because it’s in the jungle, I did have an issue with ants. The staff responded quickly. I also wish the room had been cleaned more thoroughly, rather than just tidied.

Right in the middle of Ubud’s hustle and bustle, the resort feels like a peaceful oasis once you step inside. Shops, markets, and eateries are all within walking distance. The staff were fantastic, especially Rennie, who took care of all our food needs. Afternoon tea was a lovely included touch. Breakfast was good, and they were happy to make a few à la carte items when we asked. Keep up the good work, guys 👍🏽
