Sriwedari 40 Ubud

Made and his wife made us feel right at home in their beautiful house. They’re friendly, helpful people and a pleasure to stay with. Each morning they brought complimentary breakfast to our room when it suited us, with several food and drink options. The garden is lovely, with dogs, chickens, and a kitten, and the clean pool was refreshing. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the A/C was cold, and the shower ran hot. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Ubud.

Kelit’s family were friendly, and the pool was clean. Kelit can arrange different services, from sightseeing and excursions to transfers, and after a little bargaining we got a fair price. The place is far enough from Ubud’s Main Street to stay quiet, but still within walking distance. There are also cafes and restaurants along the street if you want a quieter area. The breakfast was nice and enough to get us going, though you might need a second one to make it to lunch. It was a pleasant stay and good value for money. The bathroom could be improved. It hasn’t been thought through in several details: there’s no ventilation, so it gets very humid, there are no cups for toothbrushes, and the shower can’t be adjusted for height or angle. We were told it’s on his to do list.

The breakfast was so delicious, and the Wi-Fi was strong enough for me to make six Zoom calls in one evening without trouble. I also loved how peaceful and quiet it was, and the roosters didn’t bother me at all. It’s a real gem just a three to five minute walk down to Ubud Center. The host was amazing and did everything he could to help, even driving me to the rice terraces early one morning. I loved my stay.

Madi and his family were so welcoming. The place has a great vibe, and it’s clean, calm, and beautiful. Breakfast is included and delicious. The neighborhood is peaceful compared with the city center, with motorbike rentals nearby and shops and restaurants within walking distance. It’s also right by the Kecah fire dancing ceremony, which made the location perfect for that. We’re always looking for a good vibe, and this place has it!
