The owners’ family made us feel looked after as if we were one of their own, and breakfast was tasty on the balcony, prepared when we said we were ready. The rooms were clean and better equipped than at many other homestays. The location is ideal: the market and Palace are a two-minute walk away, there’s a 24/7 shop across the street, and a spa in the same building. You can easily cross the road to buy what you need. There are lots of things I liked about Unique Homestay, and I hope to come back soon. It had everything we needed and felt even more like home.

Wayan, the owner, is a special person. He took us around part of Bali and shared lots of tips and information. After nearly three weeks travelling through Java and Bali, I finally had the best hot shower I’d had in that time. The staff were so kind and helpful too. Unique really lives up to its name. I’d definitely go back.

Clean, good value, and in a good location, with hot water too. Just be aware that it’s on the building’s third floor and you have to carry your luggage up to your room. It suits backpackers or anyone travelling light ;)

Really liked this hotel. The service was good, breakfast was included, and the views and location were nice. For the price, it’s a great deal. The only downside was that our room’s blanket didn’t have a duvet.

The breakfast was good, but there was no juice despite it being promised. The bathtub’s tap-to-shower switch didn’t work, the place could have been cleaner, and the Wi-Fi connection was poor.
