The staff were polite, the rooms clean, and the neighborhood quiet. We loved the rice field view and the cool pool. Our stay overlapped with people whose kids were noisy, though, so it wasn’t always as peaceful as it could’ve been. I also wish there had been more than two sun beds. The same family had them every day, and we never got a chance to use them by the pool.

May 2019 was when we stayed, and it was one of the nicest trips we’ve had. We loved the place and would happily return again and again. They arranged a scooter for us, and it took about five minutes to reach central Ubud.

It took a bit of effort to find Villa Ibu, but it was worth it. The pool was clean, the rooms were great, and the staff were excellent. They can also arrange taxis and scooters.

The staff made us feel very welcome and were friendly, with someone around whenever we needed help. I’d definitely come back. The room was huge and beautiful, with a massive king-size bed and a private balcony with a sofa. It felt like great value. The plunge pool sits among the trees with forest views, and since Villa Ubud has only a few rooms, we often had it to ourselves. It’s about 10 minutes outside busy Ubud, far enough out to feel surrounded by nature but close enough to ride into town on a scooter. The rooms are right by the road, so you’ll hear motorbikes passing.
