Villa Kubu Arya by Supala

We left after just 24 hours and wouldn’t stay again. There was no offer of a refund. The villa has some real drawbacks, starting with the open entrance, which left the house damp. It wasn’t clean enough: there were leftover noodles in the sink, an empty Sprite bottle under the couch, a stained tea towel, a marked sheet on our bed, and a torn sheet on another. Mothballs in the bedrooms and bathrooms, apparently because of a previous bug problem, smelled very strong. The steep driveway is badly broken, with large chunks of loose concrete that make it difficult for scooters. The pool was very cold, though the villa is surrounded by trees in a jungle setting. It’s also close to neighboring villas, and we heard people partying next door at 1 a.m. We were short on the little things too: extra towels, bathroom rubbish bins, and housekeeping, which we had to request. When supplies didn’t arrive at the promised time, we had to chase them up. A water cooler leaked onto the kitchen floor, making it slippery for anyone walking by, but although they replied to my request to fix it, nothing was done. The place could have been much cleaner.
