There are waterfalls nearby, and the view across the rice paddies is great. The design is beautiful and the swimming pool is lovely. One room was damp, and finding the villa was difficult at first, though it got easier with time.

We spent some of the best days of our trip just staying at the villa. It was so peaceful that we didn’t feel like going anywhere, and we wanted for nothing. The service was attentive, available, and discreet throughout. The rice paddy views were spectacular, with sunsets glowing through the palm trees each evening. The infinity pool made it feel as if we were floating in nature. The villa is spacious and elegantly decorated, with a private bathroom for each couple, which worked really well for our group of five couples. We’re leaving relaxed, full of memories, and sure this is an ideal place to stay in Ubud. We highly recommend it.

I’ve stayed in at least 10 Bali villas over the last few years, and Villa Nalaya is the best so far. It’s peaceful and not far from lovely waterfalls and several restaurants. The rice field view is fantastic, and there’s a large outdoor area, a beautiful pool, and good food from the private chef. We rented a scooter, though a taxi to the center is cheap and takes about 15 minutes. Highly recommended.
